What we sometimes don't think about, and is brought to light by articles such as the May 7th 2007 Newsweek article, is that Chaplains themselves need uplift and hope and inspiration. As one person said, "When your cup of grief gets full, you can't hear another horrible story. Many feel their faith is tested in the hell of war; how should they hold on to their faith?" The article referenced is now over three years old, but the need still is felt very keenly today.
